Today the statue of Liberty represents, well, liberty. The torch is the symbol of light,it is enlightening our paths to Liberty. But looking at the caricature, the statue is blocking the way for poor people who don't have a way to get themselves out of it. It is not accepting of all people, just the ones that have enough ressources to be treated with liberty, but on the other hand the ones that dont have anything, it almost says that they don't deserve liberty without having money, thus they can't have it.
